Here is the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle beanies! I’m telling you, my boys love them. I grew up watching the original. My brother still has those amazing, but cheesy movies. The one’s that gave a role to Vanilla Ice? Do you remember him? HA! It’s been a long time since we all sat down and watched it, but when we do, it’s the 3 movie marathon.
My kids watch the cartoons now, and let me tell you! There is no comparison! My kids would tell you that these are the best EVER! But I am old-school— really is 32 “oldschool” now?!– There is nothing to that old cheesy (with lot’s of pizza) original series.
This was my first attempt at them and I have another idea to put a twist on them. Make them a little more versatile? A plain green beanie with maybe a strip of the coinciding color at the bottom and an added red, blue, purple or orange mask? How cool would that be?
I also intend to add to the whatchamagigger… I want to add matching fingerless gloves.. Or maybe even mittens?
It’s so cute as you can see in the picture it is not really cold enough yet to actually wear them, my boys have not taken them off. Even when they were sweating! My oldest boy, has stretched his out a bit in order to line the eyes up with his own. He said that it was really cool because he could see through the stitches. Whatever works and makes it fun! 🙂
